Fishermans Cottage
Fishermans cottage is a quaint 150 year old, stone built cottage with a lot of original features (ie. stairway, doors).
It is located within minutes of Goat Island beach, and Whiting Bay beach, and is close to the
Round Tower and historic ruins of Ardmore. It has two cosy bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a sitting room with a solid fuel burning stove, and a sun room with views of the countryside and sea. This cottage sleeps 4 comfortably upstairs. Please note the following: Due to having the original steep stairway of its epoch, this cottage is not at all suitable for toddlers, young children or people with mobility constraints.

Whiting Bay within a walking distance of 5 minutes has a beautiful sandy quiet beach which stretches for over a mile and provides a great location for swimming, fishing, boating and surfing or simply for an enjoyable stroll and enjoying beautiful seascapes, skyscapes and landscapes. Goat Island which is a little sheltered beach nestling among rocks and caves is also close to the cottage.
You will be approx. one and a half miles from the village of Ardmore. Here you will also find beautiful beaches, a fishing pier, the round tower, and a well known restaurant WhiteHorses and the award winning Five star Cliff Hotel . These amenities together with the famous cliff walk and many more attractions guarantee you a pleasant and active holiday..

This gold coast of Ireland circuit takes in the Gaeltacht area of Ring and Helvic Head. Dungarvan has up to date amenites, cinemas, bookshops, library, video stores etc.
On the Cork side of Ardmore is the beautiful town of Youghal. Here you will find the most scenic routes along the river Blackwater which is the widest river in Ireland. Youghal boasts of a renowned fish restaurant - Aherns,, and plenty of sites of historic interest. Close by is Trabolgan Holiday Centre for family fun, and in Middleton you can visit Jameson whiskey heritage centre.
